Portfolios, orders, watchlists and alerts live in a database on your phone — not on our servers, because there is no server-side account to put them on. The only thing the app fetches is market data.
What PSXfolio isn’t
- It’s not a broker — it can’t place, route or execute orders. You record trades you made elsewhere; nothing is ever sent to a broker.
- It’s not real-time tick data — live quotes refresh about every 5 minutes during market hours, matching the PSX data portal’s cycle.
- It’s not investment advice — it computes your numbers and shows the market’s; what you do with them is up to you.

Asked before every download
Is PSXfolio free?
Yes. The app is free, with no ads and no locked features. If a paid tier ever appears, everything listed on this site stays free.
Does it connect to my broker or CDC account?
No — by design. You enter trades yourself (or import a CSV), and your broker stays your execution channel. That’s what makes it private: there’s no login to leak and no server that knows your positions.
Where does the market data come from?
From the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s public data portal, covering 500+ listed symbols, indices, announcements and corporate payouts. Quotes refresh about every 5 minutes during market hours.
How does the Shariah screening work?
A stock is badged compliant when it’s part of the PSX’s KMI (KSE-Meezan Index) screen — the same classification the exchange publishes. We don’t issue our own rulings.
What happens to my data if I change phones?
Settings → Backup exports everything to a single file; restore it on the new device. Nothing is stored in the cloud, so the file is the backup.
